We offer a variety of intimate group sessions as well as private coaching for acting and improv for ages 7 through adult. Ages 4-6 are best in private coaching sessions (or Kiddeie Summer Camps when avaiable). Ms. Hartt teaches in a professional, yet personal studio located in a house setting for optimal results. It has a small stage and offers optimal opportunities for filming in on-camera and acting classes. We work with novices through professionals and continually appreciate that everyone is here for their own personal growth. Acting is a wonderful "opener" of many doors inside of us. Please look through our course catalogue to find the best course for you. We offer 6-week & weekend sessions, summer camps, and private coaching.
We suggest starting with the Basic Acting Series: Star I-Organic & Natural (to really peel back the layers that keep you from just letting go and creating freely and organically and to open the doors to all of the tools available besides just saying lines) and Star II-In-Depth Character Study Class (the perfect place to go deep like pros do to eek out a character or to learn to work constructively in any creative synergistic situation). The next step is On-Camera or Master Scene Class. The Improv or On-Camera Class is another great place to start for fun and for building creative skills. The On-Camera Class is A MUST in preparing for the professional world of film and television. It is also terrific for learning to be natural in any situation. Kids love the Kids On-Camera (simplified for 7-11 year olds). All ages benefit from the Great Communicator Class. Master Scene Class, On-Camera or Great Communicator are great for more advanced students or professionals. Privates are for all ages and all levels. Teenagers fit easily in with the adults in all classes.

KIDS (Ages 7-11) PRE-TEENS (Ages 11-13) TEEN/ADULT STARS (Ages 11 and above)
WHERE SHOULD I START?
Teen and Adult (11 & up) beginners should start with an acting Basic Acting Series: Star I -Organic & Natural & Star II - In-Depth Character Study or On-Camera Class. Improv is also a wonderful place to start to gain confidence and start relating to others, as well as building basic acting skills in a fun way. Or try the Great Communicator Class (we have a 2-hour intensive version called Strong Speaker once a month). Improv is a terrific and fun way to begin to build confidence and trust your instincts, the basics of all good acting. We have an Improv Intensive (4 hours on one day) once every 6 weeks and an Improv course that meets weekly.
Kids (age 8-11...or 7 with good focus skills) should begin with Kid On-Camera.
Kiddies (age 4-7) should begin with Privates.
Advanced or professionals should look at the Basic Acting Series: Star I-Organic & Natural, Star II-In-Depth Character Study, MasterScene Study, On-Camera & Audition, Great Communicator, Improv, or Private... or 1-Day Improv or Audition or Strong Speaker Intensive.
To build personal or business confidence and inner power or get to the top of your game quickly, try the Star I-Organic & Natural Course, Mindset Workshop or Improv Class or Intensive. Private acting or life coaching is a powerful way to move forward for personal or business development.

THE BASICS - ACTING CLASS SERIES - Star I & II
STAR I - ORGANIC & NATURAL (Ages 11-Adult)
This class focuses on the special qualities and creativity unique to each student. Attention is paid to building confidence and basic skills needed as a professional performer, which are necessary tools for succeeding in life in general. Basic foundation-building for acting, creativity, being organic from the inside-out, development of personal power and confidence, sensory work, getting into the right focus and creative state, freeing the body, staying in-the-moment and techniques to set the student free. This is, also, an excellent class for building confidence in daily social situations or for inner exploration for any young person or adult. Each student has a different reason for being there. Many people just want to free their souls! Finally, we believe everything should be fun! Next step is Star II. (Most kids, 7-10, should start with the Kid On-Camera Class.)

STAR II- IN-DEPTH CHARACTER STUDY (Ages 11-Adult)
The natural step from Star I. Special attention is paid to exploring professional techniques to master interrelating with fellow actors and directors, in-depth character and scene development and improvisation. Learn to create and bring to life the "backstory." We focus upon making it real, going in-depth the way pros do and popping into some of the quick tricks that can get you there fast. Also great for those looking inward and wanting to free themselves from the blocks we all build up in life. Next step is On-Camera & Audition or Master Scene.

OTHER ON-GOING 6-WEEK CLASSES
ON-CAMERA & AUDITION (Ages11-Adult...on-going as we continue to evolve)
This is a favorite class for beginners or pros. It teaches all aspects of on-camera technique, auditioning, cold reading, being natural and spontaneous and feeling free in front of a camera. The first four classes concentrate on being natural in an on-camera scene and learning how to work close-ups and other camera shots. The fifth class is a commercial or broadcast class. The last class, we focus on shooting an on-camera audition for L.A. Ms Hartt puts many people on tape for agents for L.A. auditions and is known for getting people to go from "Dallas acting" (which looks like acting) to L.A. acting (which looks like a reality show in spontaneity). If you are going up for on-camera auditions, you need to be "in the gym" with an on-camera class to keep your edge and naturalness. This has become the most popular on-going acting class. It's great to learn new technique, get more sophisticated, scrape off bad habits or to keep your "chops up." You can hold your spot for the next session as we continue to evolve from session to session.

IMPROV CLASS (Ages 10-Adult)
A four or six week version of the favorite 1-Day Improv Intensive. When we have time in the schedule, we try to put this all-time favorite back in. Great place for beginners or pros to hone your improv skills and gain confidence. A great place to mix it up with others in the business or to just get out of your head and loosen up for a fun, freeing afternoon. We highly recommend this class for beginners and experienced folks alike to help connect to others and "get out of your head."

KID CLASSES
KID ON-CAMERA (Ages 8-11) (will consider age 7 with exceptional focus skills)
Kids love working in front of the camera. Great class for camera work, cold-reading and auditions and interviews. The first four classes are focused on being natural and real in an on-camera scene and working camera skills. The fifth class is a commercial or broadcast class. The last class, Ms. Hartt puts them on tape like she does the auditions she does for L.A. auditions. The kids love creating and seeing themselves back on tape each week. This is an on-going class that you may hold your spot in as we evolve to higher levels for each individual student.

Younger children do better in privates as they need one-on-one attention and have not developed all the socializing skills required to focus in a group class usually. If your child has early-developed focus skills, I may consider a younger child in a Kids Class.

POSITIVE MINDSET-TRAINING SUCCESS SEMINAR...3 hours...$65
A concentrated "basics" version of Ms. Hartt's dynamic postive goals and performance training. Learn how to really make your dreams a reality. We start with some easy groundingand relaxation techniques. Then, we work on positive achievement strategies: 1. Clarify your goals and where you are now. 2. Choose a positive "mind-step" to move past what blocks you inside. 3. Create your goal and map out a strategy. 4. STRONG SPEAKER INTENSIVE...3 hours...$65
Learn how to be a powerful communicator - live and on-camera. A 2-hour intensive version of the Great Communicator Class. Gain confidence for small or large groups and in front of the camera. Gain on-camera broadcast skills quickly for spokesperson, hosting or any broadcast that breaks down copy and plays a camera. Great for corporate presentation skills, Bar Mitzvah speeches, school presentations, pageants, science presentations or personal deveopment in any social or business situation. Copy skills apply tp voice-over too.
Learn how to psyche yourself intto being at the top of your game, send your energy out, connect to an audience or camera, use your body naturally, relax in front of others, phrase and add dynamics to your speech and make your points in a comfortable and entertaining manner.
Ms. Hartt suggests setting up private sessions for important speeches to bring out your very best.
ON-CAMERA AUDITION INTENSIVE...3 hours (or until we finish)...$65
Learn the basics of on-camera auditions, agents, resumes and hone your acting skills. Great for novices and pro's alike. Hone your on-camera technique. It is invaluable to be able to see yourself back on camera to grow faster. You are also welcome to bring in your audition pieces for direction. This is really a great workshop to build confidence and to keep ahead of the competiton in any field of work. Ms. Hartt will work one scene audition (In a natural L.A. style). Ms. Hartt will do a Q&A and offer personal advice at the end.
ON-CAMERA COMMERCIAL & SPOKESPERSON AUDITION INTENSIVE...3 hours (or until we finish)...$65
This is only offered once or twice a year. A powerful "double-whammy" workshop to hone skills in basic commercial auditions...plus spokesperson. The commercial will be a typical upbeat style. The spokesperson will teach the student important skills that will be applied to spokesperson, hosting, and basic broadcast. This is a very popular workshop that helps you to instanly become much more confident and professional in auditions. Be the top of the competition. It's a very competitive field...be the best you can be! An excellent workshop to complement this one is the Improv Intensive.

STAR I ACTING CAMP
A fun week of “the real stuff”. A concentrated version of the powerful 6-week Star I-Organic & Natural, Beginners Acting, focusing on developing the special qualities and creativity unique to each student, using the same techniques used in NY and LA. A wonderful introduction to basic acting skills, speech, confidence, using the body, working from the inside out like a real pro, improvisation, and exploring personal creativity and power. Great for building confidence! Ms Hartt is known for her heart-to-heart connection to each student. Lots of fun while getting real, in-depth acting coaching!

IMPROV CAMP
Everybody loves Improv! It’s so crazy that they won’t want to go home each day! This is a fun way to build confidence, character tools, basic acting skills, working with others, creating on your feet, and getting out of your head and trusting. Some of their creations are taped for the fun and learning experience of seeing themselves back on TV. The “Kids” get to jump into the costume box. We bounce off the walls!! Great for comic skills. This is a favorite with all ages!

ON-CAMERA ACTING & AUDITION CAMP
Build confidence and ease, on-camera and off, while having lots of fun! A “hot ticket” for all levels and ages. They work fast, with lots of energy, on scenes honing acting, natural LA film style, commercials, auditioning and camera skills. They learn to look like pros in front of a camera, as well as getting tips for audition skills, headshots, agents and interviewing. Watching back on tape is fun and helps them to grow much faster. Great for auditions, mastering acting skills, as well as naturalness and confidence in any activity (school, work, etc.)

MIXED BAG CAMP
A fun week of a little bit of all the other camps. This is a "mixed bag" of Star I, On-Camera, Improv and Stage. We will,also, include some speech-making tips. As in all camps, we will focus on developing the special qualities and creativity unique to each student, using the same techniques used in NY and LA. Like the Star I Camp, this is a wonderful introduction to basic acting skills: speech, on-camera work, improvisation, vouce-over and exploring personal power. Great for building confidence! GREAT COMMUNICATOR CAMP
A must! Great before-school preparation! A fun week that also prepares them for the reports and presentation skills that will put them at the top of the class at school. Fun while learning important skills for live presentations as well as camera and voice-over techniques. We concentrate upon speech and voice, using the body to express yourself powerfully, playing an audience or camera, feeling comfortable in any presentation setting, breaking down copy, good speech writing techniques and voice-over. Great for school presentations, speeches, spokesperson, TV host and voice-over.

Classes usually are limited to 4 to 7 students for personal attention. (1-day workshops will have more.) Placement is limited so we advise prompt registration once you have made a choice to attend.
